PURPOSE: To install and swage an insert in a workpiece quickly and properly in a single process without requiring a special skill and attention by a worker by providing a swaging element swaging a fastener in the workpiece when a second clutch engages with an output shaft. A first clutch assembly 44 overruns, and a second clutch assembly 74 and a spline shaft 48 are integrally rotated against the stationary mandrel 34. The outer end section of the spline shaft 48 is screwed to the mandrel 34, and the spline shaft 48 is advanced outward in the mandrel 34. A swaging element 102 is moved outward, and the insert 12 is swaged in the workpiece 14. |
