PURPOSE:To light-amplify two-dimentional information and to amplify the two-dimentional information of an optical computer, etc., in a mass by adding rare earth elements to a core or the peripheral part of the core. CONSTITUTION:The rare earth elements are added to the core of an image fiber or the peripheral part of the core; the image fiber core is a multicore fiber which is obtained by disposing a quartz-based glass clad whose refractive index is lower than the core around plural quartz-based glass cores. The rare earth elements have the effect of increasing a non-linear type optical effect of the glass, therefore, fiber laser and the light amplification can be performed by such the glass to which the rare earth elements are added. Thus, the two- dimentional information is light-amplified and the two-dimentional information of the optical computer is amplified in a mass. |
