<p>PURPOSE:To obtain highly treated water with high production efficiency by juxtaposing a 1st tank which is provided with a primarily treated water outflow part in the upper part of the tank and a 2nd tank which holds a floating filter medium layer the upper part in the tank, has a settling part in the lower part and is provided with a final treated water outflow part in the upper part of the tank and communicating the outflow part of the 1st tank and the settling part in the lower part of the 2nd tank. CONSTITUTION:Raw water is admitted into the lower part in the 1st tank 1 where the settlable suspended solids in the raw water are settled and separated. The raw water, the greater part of the suspended solids are settled and separated in the bottom of the 1st tank 1, advances into the filter medium layer 3 from the lower side thereof where the fine suspended solids failing to settle are filtered away and the soluble BOD components are decomposed and removed by the biomembranes developed on the filter medium surfaces in the filter medium layer 3. The primarily treated water flowing out of the upper part of the filter medium layer 3 flows into the settling part in the lower part in the 2nd tank and thereafter, this water flows into the floating filter medium layer 23 from below. The residual BOD and ammonia in the primarily treated water are extremely effectively removed by the aerobic biomembrane developed in the floating filter medium layer 23 and the residual fine suspended solids are simultaneously filtered away.</p> |
