These acrylic copolymers, usable for the manufacture of coatings, in particular of decorative and impervious coatings for the exterior of buildings, include, per 100 parts by weight: from 40 to 95 parts of at least one alkyl or aryl acrylate or methacrylate in which the alkyl group has from 1 to 10 carbon atoms and the aryl group has from 6 to 10 carbon atoms, from 5 to 40 parts of at least one aminomethacrylate of formula: <IMAGE> in which n is an integer of between 1 and 20 and R1 is an alkyl radical which has from 1 to 10 carbon atoms and from 0 to 40 parts of a vinylaromatic monomer. The invention also relates to a process for coating a substrate with a formulation comprising a copolymer as defined above.
