The chair lift on a support cable is driven by a haulage rope (2), which is attached to the structure (20) of the chair by a spring-loaded clamp (8). One jaw (4) of the clamp is formed integrally with a support bar (10), which is mounted in a bearing (26) in the chair structure. The second jaw (6) forms part of a slider (18) which slides on the support bar and is pressed towards the first jaw by a compression spring (42). The support bar is retained in the bearing by a pin (39) which also holds a guide roller (32) in place. ADVANTAGE - Compact design with small number of components, without need for adjustment.
