PURPOSE:To prevent the breakage of the top edge of paper and rubbing of a tail of the paper and carry out the high speed operation of a machine by arranging a slow down pulley between a snapper and a braking roller on a belt, and primarily decelerating the paper. CONSTITUTION:On a low speed belt 7, a signature A1 is gradually dropped by a snapper 10, and the top edge is guided by a paper guide 17 and the low speed belt 7, and the signature A1 is bent on a slow down pulley 16, and the primary deceleration and the top edge regulation of the signature A1 are carried out. Since the signature A1 is primarily decelerated by the slow down pulley 16 before a braking roller 15, the impact in the case when the top edge of the signature A1 collides with the braking roller 15 is reduced, and the breakage of the top edge can be prevented beforehand. Further, through the secondary deceleration, the need of deceleration by nipping the tail of the signature by the wheel 13 of the snapper 10 and the low speed belt 7 is obviated, and setting a gap between the snapper 10 and the low speed belt 7 is always enabled, the rubbing of the tail of the signature by the snapper 10 can be eliminated. |
