PURPOSE:To obtain a double toothed endless belt improved in durability by covering the inner peripheral surface and the outer peripheral surface of an endless belt with tubular canvas. CONSTITUTION:Pieces 14, 24 of tubular canvas are clothes having elasticity with respect to the peripheral direction of a belt and formed endlessly without a seam. A cylindrical metal mold 40 having a tooth form on the outer peripheral surface is covered with the first tubular canvas 14 having elasticity in the peripheral direction. Subsequently, a core wire 31 is wound round the outer periphery of the canvas 14, and a rubber layer 52 is wound round the above to form a cylinder. The rubber layer 52 is heated and pressurized only during a short time to partially vulcanize the rubber layer 52. The cylinder is released from the cylindrical metal mold 40, and the outer periphery of the released cylinder is covered with the second tubular canvas 24. The cylinder formed by the canvas 14, the core wire 31, the rubber layer 52 and the canvas 24 is subjected to press working, whereby the rubber layer 52 is vulcanized to form belt teeth 11, 21. Thus, a double toothed endless belt improved in durability can be manufactured easily. |
