PURPOSE:To remove a magnetic material with good separation efficiency by setting the moving speed of a conveyor belt to a specific value and supplying a slurry to the conveyor belt positioned at a specific angle with respect to the vertical line passing through the shaft axis of a tail pulley to magnetically attract the magnetic material to the conveyor belt. CONSTITUTION:A conveyor belt 6 is allowed to run from the underside of a tail pulley 5 to the upper part thereof in the direction shown by an arrow A and, when the slurry 7 containing a magnetic material stored in a slurry tank 1 is supplied to a magnetic selector 3 by a pump 2, the magnetic material is magnetically attracted to the conveyor belt 6 to be separated and a product slurry 10 from which the magnetic material is removed falls as it is. Herein, the moving speed of the conveyor belt 6 at the time of the supply of the slurry 7 is set to 0.05-0.25m/sec and the supply position of the slurry to the conveyor belt 6 is set to 20-70 deg. with respect to the vertical line passing through the shaft axis of the tail pulley 5. |
