PURPOSE:To bring exact Doppler information to image display by estimating a Doppler signal immediately before an omission period of the Doppler signal by an estimating device, and also, eliminating the discontinuity of the signal by using a window function device at the time of making up for the Doppler signal in an omission period. CONSTITUTION:When a reflected echo signal is received from the inside of a body to be examined by an ultrasonic transmitting/receiving part 12, a reference signal of an ultrasonic carrier frequency is applied to the reflected echo signal in an orthogonal detector 20, and a Doppler signal is outputted from the orthogonal detector 20. Subsequently, by a B mode scanning signal, a processing for a B mode display is executed in a processing circuit 16, but in the Doppler signal in this case, an omission period is generated. On the other hand, an estimating device 24 stores the signal immediately before the Doppler signal omission period by a portion corresponding to the Doppler signal omission period, and as for an output of a signal switch 26, a discontinuous part of the Doppler signal is generated in a B mode scan start time and an end time. Since a window function signal is applied thereto by a window function device 30, the discontinuous part of the Doppler signal is eliminated. |
