PURPOSE:To massively produce the subject gelatin in a readily grinding state at a low cost by limiting the gelatin to be ground within a range smaller than the a specific value and subsequently grinding and classifying the gelatin in a dry state. CONSTITUTION:Coarse gelatin granules having a number-average mol.wt. of <8500 as gelatin to be ground is ground and classified in a dry state to obtain the objective gelatin. The gelatin is preferably a number-average particle diameter within a range of 3.0-5.5mum and contains gelatin particles having particle diameters of >=9.0mum and >=1.5mum in amounts of <10wt.%, respectively, based on the whole amount of the gelatin particles. |
