RECEIVED SIGNAL PROCESSING METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR WIDE-RAY POSITIONING SYSTEM

PURPOSE: To improve the speed and certainty of retrieved results by receiving signals containing the enciphered version of a P-code pseudo random code sequence and independently generating the replica of the P-code pseudo random code sequence. CONSTITUTION: The received signal of a system is processed and an L2 carrier signal modulated with an enciphered P-code is generated. When the carrier signal is generated, signals transmitted from a plurality of satellites and containing the enciphered version of a P-code pseudo random code sequence are received and the replica of a non-enciphered P-code pseudo random code sequence is independently generated. Then the frequency spectrum containing the peak indicating the temporal relation between the received enciphered P-code sequence and the locally generated replica of the P-code sequence is found, by correlating the former with the latter. The correlated results are band-passed and correlated so that the L2 carrier signal can be reproduced at a desirable S/N and the band-passed signal is squared.
