Automatic atomic spectroscopic analysis of multi-component soln. - by set programme starting with known data and producing comparison standard

For simultaneous automatic determnm by atomic spectroscopy of the elements present in a soln, the first of six process stages extracts from information sources the input data, spectral channels, and lines, and starting values for technical parameters. A second stage uses these data to produce a comparison standard from a comparison soln. From these stages a testing and control programme is derived for adjusting the appts parameters to permit correction by the comparison standard. The data are then supplied with details of objective and of relevant regulations. The fifth stage uses results to relate the objectives to the appts parameters and their limiting values, before finally the results are delivered to an information store, eg for future use. ADVANTAGE - Produces results with adequate sensitivity and speed without extensive addns to appts.
