<p>PURPOSE:To enable the action of powerful driving force at the time of starting the driving of an intake/exhaust valve by applying a current to a movable piece coil from outside, and inducing a magnetic field to act from the whole periphery. CONSTITUTION:The magnetic passage 21 of a movable piece 2 is connected to an intake valve 1 and reciprocated. The magnetic poles 32 of a drive part 3 are lined up in the direction of reciprocating motion and constantly opposed to the peripheral surface of the magnetic passage 21. Exciting coils 33 are wound on the magnetic poles 32, and secondary coils 22 and a movable piece coil 24 above are provided at the peripheral surface of the magnetic passage 21. When electric power is supplied to the exciting coils 33 and movable piece coil 24 from a controller 4, a current is induced to the secondary coils 22 by the movable piece coil 24, as well as a radial magnetic field acts from the magnetic poles 32 so as to drive the intake valve 1 by electromagnetic force acting between the induced current and the magnetic field. Driving force therefore acts upon the whole periphery of the movable piece coil, thus obtaining powerful driving force.</p> |
