PURPOSE:To control butts at various heights from a carriage with a cam by projecting an operating part of a specific cam from an opening in a bottom plate of the carriage. CONSTITUTION:A pulse signal is sent to a stepping motor 19 to operate a main shaft 20, which is then vertically moved to vertically move a cam 3 urged in the upward direction with elastic motion of a spring 17 and project an operating part 4 of the cam from an opening 2 in a bottom plate 1 by a prescribed distance. Butts at various heights for operating needles are controlled with the cam without requiring loading of plural solenoids on the carriage for use. |
