PURPOSE:To enable a dry well coated carrier to be efficiently manufactured, by mixing magnetic particles with fine resin particles, and applying mechanical impact to the mixture to coat the magnetic particles with the fine resin particles, and then, separating a spherical particle powder from an amorphous particle powder. CONSTITUTION:The powder of the magnetic particles is mixed with the fine resin particles to be used for dry coating, and mechanical impact is applied to the mixture to coat the surfaces of the magnetic particles with the fine resin particles in the dry coating step. The powder of the magnetic particles comprises the amorphous component composed of the amorphous magnetic particles and the spherical magnetic particles and it is preferred to use an amorphous component to spherical component ratio of 50:50 - 80:20, thus permitting the carrier having a good dry coating layer to be efficiently manufactured. |
