A novel method for determining the genetic identity between two samples is provided. The method allows sizing of the VNTR regions of the above loci for samples of DNA which can be used to establish or exclude identity between samples. The determination advantageously uses oligonucleotide probes or primers capable of hybridizing with various regions of loci selected from the group consisting of D18S17, D1S47, D20S15, D21S112, D6S22, and D11S129. |
