Procedure for preparing an aerosol-type pharmaceutical formulation containing micronized disodium 9-ethyl-6,9- dihydro-4,6-dioxo-10-propyl-4H-pyrano[3,2-g]quinoline-2,8- dicarboxylate. It consists in introducing the mixture of the propellants dichlorodifluoromethane and 1,2-dichlorotetrafluoroethane in the ratio 60:40 at ambient temperature into a hermetically sealed tank which has low-speed mechanical stirring and which contains a dispersion of micronized, dry disodium 9-ethyl-6,9-dihydro-4,6-dioxo-10-propyl-4H- pyrano[3,2-g]quinoline-2,8-dicarboxylate in the surfactant, recirculating the mixture through the filling head by means of a suitable pump and time, and then directly introducing the resultant dispersion into the vials having the appropriate valve.
