Proposed is a process for the assembly and insulation-testing of power components (8) for electronic switching and control devices, in particular for motor vehicles, in which the power components are attached to a cooling element (1) so that heat can pass but with electrical insulation, and the power components can be connected to each other and to other components on a printed-circuit board (3) and to earth. In order not to endanger voltage-sensitive components (13) on the circuit board (3), the cooling element (1) is first attached to the circuit board (3) without applying a potential, the insulation (4) between the cooling element (1) and the power component (8) is subsequently tested by applying a high voltage, and finally the cooling element (1) connected electrically to earth (14a). |
