PURPOSE:To eliminate execution of useless copying processes by automatically selecting a most appropriate color to be utilized and the copying process for an original of each page responding to state of color of each original in the case of copying in an automatic color selection mode of a continuous pages copying mode. CONSTITUTION:A reading part 1 which reads an original, an image processing part 2 which outputs image information, a recording part 3 which forms an image and transfers it to a transfer paper, an operating part 4 to set the condition, and a control part 5 to control all these are provided. Then, when copying in the automatic color selection mode of the continuous pages copying mode, the state of color of the first page and the state of color of the second page are discriminated separately by a preliminary scanning. From the state of color of the first page, the color utilized and the copying process for the first page are automatically decided and from the state of color of the second page the same for the second page. Thus, even when there is a difference in the state of color between the originals, the carrying out of useless copying processes can be eliminated. |
