PURPOSE: To quickly operate the gears of a bicycle by installing a second resilient means to urge a hand-grip in the opposite direction against the urging direction of a first resilient means of a bicycle derailleur so as to make a resultant effect of both these first and second resilient means energize a chain to an intermediate position of sprockets at two ends of a set of sprockets. CONSTITUTION: Traveling on wasteland, in the case where there is necessity for leaning over handle bar with a certain degree of force, a helical spring 50 constituting a second resilient means interlocking with a hand-grip 2 is installed there to make cyclist so as not to inadvertently select the gears. Further to be exact, this helical spring 50 is concentrically installed around a tubular rod 9, and it has two tailpieces 50a and 50b locked to an end part 9f of this rod 9, whose diameter becomes enlarged each, and a hub 2a of the hand-grip 2. Therefore the tailpiece 50a is secured to the handle bar 1, while the tailpiece 50b is made movable together with the hand-grip 2. |
