PURPOSE:To continuously detect the position of a shield excavator by continuously measuring the projecting angle of laser beams and the distance to a photodetecting panel at all times, and continuously outputting the measuring values outside at all times. CONSTITUTION:A laser detecting panel 1 is provided in the rear part of a shield excavator 3, with a transit 2 placed at a set position behind the digging machine 3. The transit 2 is capable of measuring the distance and angle continuously at all times and so arranged as to output the measuring values outside continuously at all times. The photodetecting panel 1 and transit 2 are connected to a computer 4. Therefore, the data of coordinates of the laser detecting position on the panel 1 and the data of the distance and angle measured by the transit 2 are always inputted to the computer 4. Data of the position and direction of a segment S are inputted to the computer 4 along with the data of the coordinates, distance and angle, whereby the position and attitude of the excavator 3 are obtained, based on which a control signal is sent to a control part of a jack 5 of the excavator 3. |
