<p>PURPOSE:To lay a cable safely, reliably and efficiently by detecting tension and side pressure of a cable to be laid in an underground duct and then transmitting the detection results to the outside of the duct and receiving the transmitted signals. CONSTITUTION:When a power cable 5 is inserted into an underground duct 3 while being pulled by means of a wire rope 12, it is subjected to tension and side pressure. The tension and the side pressure are detected directly by means of a tension/side pressure gage 11 mounted on the power cable 5, and detection results are transmitted through a transmission unit 11 and the wire rope 12 to a ground receiving unit 17. By such arrangement, tension and side pressure of the power cable 5 can be monitored easily with high accuracy.</p> |
