<p>The device described is designed for hanging items of clothing (1) on transport hangers (2) and comprises means for individually feeding the hangers (2) along a conveyor (7) to hanging station (4). Located at the hanging station are elements for gripping one of the hangers (2) with its arms (3) folded, and an actuator is provided which acts on the hanger, opening the hanger arms after an item of clothing has been passed over them. The hanger (2), together with its item of clothing, is transported further by the conveyor (7) and passed on to a subsequent treatment unit. Compared with the prior art, the hanger (2) disclosed can be inserted, with its arms (3) folded, more simply and rapidly into items of clothing (1) such as buttoned-up shirts or zipped-up outer garments.</p> |
