A first sub-unit (105) is based on a board (2) to which interaction units are secured in openings (57) and operated by push-buttons (3,4) with integral signal lamp-holders (6). A second sub-unit (106) comprises a printed circuit board (8) with some switch modules (17) normally open, others (18) normally closed, and display modules (19). The sub-units (105,106) are held together by screws through clearance holes in the boards (2,8) to avoid stresses introduced by positional tolerances between the openings (57) and the module attachment sites. ADVANTAGE - Economically mfd. device can be dismantled quickly and easily in event of failure.
