<p>The subject is a reactance circuit-breaker comprising for each phase at least one disconnection chamber, provided with an operating member, and at least one varistor across the terminals of the said disconnection chamber, characterised in that the said operating member (3) is under the dependence of a circuit (8) giving an order, so as to permit an opening ensuring an arc duration sufficient to preclude any reenergization across the terminals of the said chamber.
