PURPOSE:To provide the titled preparation useful as a remedy for cardiopathy, by compounding ubiquinone and vitamin B2. CONSTITUTION:A ubiquinone preparation stable to light is obtained by compounding 1pt.wt. of ubiquinone (pref. ubidecarenone; however, those having 1-9 isoprenoid side chains can also be used) with 1/2-1/10pt.wt. of vitamin B2 (e.g. riboflavine, riboflavine phosphate, etc.), and forming the mixture to powder, fine granules, granules, tablets, capsules, etc. Ubiquinone, which is a series of bio-components composed of a 2,3-dimethoxy-5-methylbenzoquinone skeleton and isoprenoid side chains bonded thereto, is extremely unstable to light; however, the presence of vitamin B2 suppresses the decomposition of ubiquinone with light, and results in remarkable stabilization of ubiquinone. The amount of ubiquinone is, e.g. about 10mg per 1g of the fine granules. |
