The intermediate layer (9) and the flame-proof layer (12) are arranged in the region of the seat surface (14) and possibly the side surface (17) of a seat cushion (5) of the seat (2, 3). A covering layer (19) made of a flame-proof woven or knitted fabric or nonwoven is placed on, in particular glued to, a lower side (18) of the supporting body (7) on the opposite side to the seat surface (14).
