<p>PURPOSE: To provide a roll-up feeder which permits a medium to be delivered into a paper feeding roller through its top, by mounting a pair of one-way clutch controlled rolling friction means on the upper part of a two-position T-shaped actuator so as to come into contact with the medium in a medium chamber. CONSTITUTION: A rail means slidably-supporting an actuator 220 is mounted so that the actuator 220 may be moved in the first direction to a position permitting a contact with a medium by starting a foot pedal means 238. The actuator 220 is then moved in the second position by the continuous movement of the foot pedal means 238. As the result, the top paper 17 of the medium is delivered in a nip formed between an idle roll and a matching roll through the opening of a medium chamber by a prescribed quantity. When the foot pedal 238 is released, the actuator 220 is retracted from the surface of the medium, and moved in the third direction to move it to its initial position.</p> |
