AUTOMATIC PASSBOOK/CERTIFICATE CLOSE INSPECTION IN PASSBOOK CERTIFICATE ISSUANCE DEVICE

PURPOSE:To reduce the load of a person in charge and improve the reliability of a device by automatically counting passbooks and certificates stored in each stocking part and storing a count value when newly issued passbooks and certificates are initially set in stocking parts in a passbook and certificate issuance device. CONSTITUTION:Passbook and certificate media are transported one by one from a medium stocking part 1 to an empty medium stocking part 4 and the media are accumulated in the medium stocking part 4. A control part 12 counts the number of media each time a stock detection part 9 of the medium stocking part 1 detects the movement of a medium from the medium stocking part 1 to the empty medium stocking part 4. If the transport of all the media stored in the medium stocking part 1 to the medium stocking part 4 is detected by the stock detection part 9 of the medium stocking part 1, the number of media counted by the control part 12 is stored in a medium count storage area of the medium stocking part 1 in a storage part 11. Next the media stored in the medium stocking part 4 is transported and stored in the medium stocking part 1 through a medium transport passage 7.
