It relates to a cycling shoe which includes a lower sole comprising a covering part (4a) which may be cut out with a knife according to a line of weakening (4b). The covering part (4a) has projections (4c) ensuring a positioning of a median sole (6), by interaction with elongate slots (9). When the shoe has to be used with a blocking wedge on a pedal, the covering part (4a) is recut by cutting out along the line of weakness (4b) and a wedge is fastened to the elongate slots (9).
