PURPOSE:To obtain a sheet type heating element furnished with uniform heating properties and excellent flexibility by combining conductive carbon black with a conductive material at a specified compounding ratio into an uniformly dispersed state via fibrous polytetrafluoroethylene. CONSTITUTION:A sheet type heating element is made up into an uniformly dispersed state from conductive carbon black and a poor conductive material which are combined with each other at a controlled compounding ratio via fibrous polytetrafluoroethylene. As a poor conductive material, alumina, titania, zirconia and the like are used, each of which changes resistance characteristics. And fibrous polytetrafluoroethylene functions as a binder binding both components of conductivity and poor conductivity into one, and also functions as a skeleton forming the structure of a sheet exhibiting a mesh state. By this constitution, the sheet type heating element can thereby be obtained, which is furnished with uniform conductive performance in a range from low temperature to high temperature and with excellent flexibility. |
