PURPOSE:To check data more exactly, by checking the number of digits of read data. CONSTITUTION:The operator sets the number of digits of data 14 recorded on a card 13 to a digit number set part 4. The set part 4 outputs a signal corresponding to the set number to a signal line 8. Next, the operator scans data 14 with a handle scanner 12. The electric signal output is converted to a digital signal by a read data part 5 and is outputted digit by digit. This output data is counted as a number of data, namely, a number of digits by a counter 6 and is stored in a shift register 7. The output of the counter 6 and the output of the set part 4 are compared with each other by the end timing signal of read of one card; and if they do not coincide with each other, a signal 11 is turned on. When they coincide with each other, that is, when the signal 11 is turned off, a control part sends contents of the register 7 to a host computer 1; and when the signal 11 is turned on, the control part executes operations such as lighting of an indicator lamp 15. |
