PURPOSE:To eliminate the need of a member for preventing slip-off of a pin due to urging of a spring so as to improve the assembling efficiency by providing a large- diameter flange portion on the rear end of a pin in a device where a pin provided on a cam shaft in such a manner as to project and retreat freely in the radial direction is inserted in and pulled out from a hole provided in a cam inner peripheral surface. CONSTITUTION:Snap rings 13, 14 are installed on both sides of a cam 12 fitted to a cam shaft 11 in such a manner as to freely relatively move, and a positioning spring 15 is wound between one snap ring 13 and the cam 12. A hole 17 is bored in one portion of the inner peripheral surface 16 of the cam 12, which comes into contact with the outer peripheral surface of the cam shaft 11, and a stepped lateral hole 19 intersecting perpendicularly to an oil pressure path 18 passing the center of the shaft is formed on the cam shaft 12 corresponding to the hole 17. A pin 23 comprising a shaft portion 24, the forward end of which is rounded and a large-diameter flange portion 25 is slidably inserted in the lateral hole 19. When oil pressure is supplied to the projecting spherical surface 26 side of the flange portion 25, the pin 23 is moved outward against a spring 28 to fit the shaft portion 24 in the hole 17, so that the cam 12 is rotated in one body with the cam shaft 11.
