PURPOSE:To obtain print images of good quality by performing appropriate printing suitable to the change of environmental conditions through the prevention of clogging of ink by making it possible to vary the width of a slit provided at the slit-shaped ink jetting outlet of an ink jet head. CONSTITUTION:An slit-shaped ink jetting outlet 7 is composed of an upper plate 2 and a lower plate 3, and a supporting plate 9 is fixed to the upper side of an electrostriction element 8 provided at the upper side of the upper plate 2 and a cam 11 is grought to contact with the plate 9. A plunger magnet 15 is connected to the cam 11 through a cam shaft 12, a lever 13 and a link 14 and the width of the slit is varied by the operation of the plunger magnet 15. |
