CONTROL APPARATUS FOR AC-DC CONVERTER

A control apparatus for an AC-DC converter is coupled to an AC system. The control apparatus is provided with a constant current controller and a constant margin angle controller, and includes a detector for detecting a decrease in a voltage of the AC system, below a predetermined value, and generating a detection signal representing this decrease in the voltage; a first compensator for compensating for a current set value by a first value corresponding to the detection signal, wherein the current set value serves as a control target of the constant current controller; a second compensator for compensating for the current set value by a second value corresponding to the detection signal if the voltage has not returned to a given normal value even after the elapse of a first predetermined period of time which is measured from time when the detection signal is generated. The second compensator holds the second value for a second predetermined period of time.
