The present invention is in the audio-visual field and its subject is a device known as a mixer intended to link the "sound" signal of a complex audio-visual signal in the course of its transmission between a source and a target by adding and/or substituting another sound signal originating from an accessory sound source. The device comprises a first twenty-one-pin male peritel connector (48, 71), a second twenty-one-way female peritel connector (49, 71) a housing (43) which can be linked, on the one hand, by a nine-way female connector (44) and, on the other hand, by a coaxial two-wire female connector (45), the said housing containing a circuit with two rheostats (41, 42), a multi-conductor cord (46) with two coaxial two-wire lines, one (50) of the lines being intended for passing the "video" signal, the other (51) line at least being intended for passing the "sound" signal, the said link possibly being linked to the circuit of the housing by a nine-pin male connector (47). <IMAGE>
