<p>PURPOSE:To permit a lightweight and rigid packing body to be formed by a method wherein binding members are passed through the holes formed in a base plate and extended sufficiently long to be wound around a flat article so as to secure it to the surface of the base plate. CONSTITUTION:A binding member 13 is wound around a retaining case 1 along the back side thereof passing through the holes 11 arbitrarily selected according to the size of a flat article A to be packed with each end thereof extending over the front side and left untied. The flat article A, e.g. a framed picture, is set in the retaining case with its picture side facing toward a base plate 2 in contact with the buffer 10 thereof and the ends of the binding member 13 are fastened together around the flat article A. At this time, the fastening positions of the binding members 13 are adjusted by freely shifting the binding members in the long holes 11 according to the size of the flat article A. Therefore, the flat article A is bindingly secured properly and stably to the base plate 2 and the buffer 10 by the binding member 13 and the spacing of the retaining case is maintained by the side plates and front side thereof. In this manner a lightweight and rigid packing can be obtained.</p> |
