<p>An artificial promoter for expressing proteins in yeast, comprising a sub-sequence upstream from the TATA element of the Saccharomyces cerevisiae gene GAL7 promoter sequence, which comprises the upstream activating sequences UAS1 and UAS2; and a sub-sequence of an ADH2 promoter sequence comprising the TATA element and the transcription initiating region. Uses include obtaining proteins, oxidase urate in particular.</p> |
