PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To meet technical need required for a hinge device of small-sized electronic equipment such as a portable telephone and note size personal computer, and to provide the device with compactness, simple structure and a low cost. SOLUTION: This hinge device comprises a shaft 1 having a flange 3 at its one end; a cam member 6 inserted with other end of the rotatable shaft 1 with a locking member and engaged therewith; a slidable cam member 8 slidable in an axial direction and rotatable together with the shaft 1 engaged with the shaft 1 at its center position between the cam member 6 and the flange 3; and a compression spring 9 elastically fitted around the shaft 1 between the slidable cam member 8 and the flange 3. A pair of projections 6a are formed on the cam member 6 on its one side at the opposed positions. Cam portions 8b are formed on the sliding cam member 8, so as to be in press-contact with the projections 6a. |
