<p>PURPOSE:To decompose bad smelling substances simultaneously in a short time, by preparing a deodorant by adding an oxidizing agent to a double salt, as an effective component, of a silver oxide of high order having the ratio of number of atoms. of oxygen to silver, O/Ag, exceeding one and a sulfate of silver. CONSTITUTION:An aqueous solution of silver nitrate is added to an alkaline aqueous solution of potassium persulfate and reaction is conducted at a temperature of 0-60 deg.C for preferably 30min-2hr to obtain a double salt (A) having the ratio of number of atoms. of oxygen to silver, O/Ag, exceeding one. One or more kinds of oxides (B) are added to said double salt as an effective component to produce a deodorant. As said B, strong oxidizing agents such as potassium persulfate, ammonium persulfate etc. are preferable, where the mixing ratio between A and B is preferably within a ratio of 5-1,000pt.wt. of B per 1pt.wt. of a A.</p> |
