The mechanism extends the working range of a platform in a mine, tunnel etc, which runs along a suspended monorail. The last of the rails which are coupled together is fitted with an end barrik. The working face rail (12) is short, whose length is suited to the construction requirement. It has a coupler (14) at one end, and a welded end barrik (15) at the other end.
