The belt is used to relieve the load on the muscles of the hip joint. The belt (16) is of adjustable length and has two pads (18, 18') with convex surfaces. When the belt is in place these pads (18, 18') exert pressure on the hip joint muscles. The pads (18, 18') are attached to the inside surface of the belt (16) and may be positionally adjustable. Alternatively, the pads (18, 18') may be sewn to the belt (16). The belt (16) is so formed that its widest part is at the front. Each pad (18, 18') has a length of 10 to 18 cm and a width of 3 to 7 cm. USE - Relief of load on hip joint muscles.
