PURPOSE:To facilitate operation of a brake by resetting velocity control when deceleration is larger than a first set reference, so as to reduce the operation at the time of re-opening automatic cruise drive or of setting another aimed velocity. CONSTITUTION:When automatic cruise drive is performed by a constant speed running device 1, a main switch 4 and a set switch 5 are turned ON in order. A throttle actuator 8 is driven and controlled by an electronic controller 3, according to the deflection between the aimed velocity given by the switch 5 and the detected velocity given by a velocity sensor 2, so as to maintain actual velocity to the aimed velocity. When the brake operation is detected by a brake switch 6, deceleration calculated by the electronic controller 3 is compared with a first set reference. When the deceleration is larger than the first set reference, automatic cruising control is reset. A resumption switch is then turned ON, so as to re-open automatic cruising control. |
