The overload indicator contains two mutually displaceable elements, one mounted on a vehicle axle (2) and one one the body (1). These elements have an associated measurement arrangement and are arranged so that the load acting on the vehicle springs is reliably displayed. The measurement arrangement can be a scale attached to the mutually relatively movable elements or can contains an electronic circuit with a switch which illuminates a monitoring lamp (8) when activated . USE/ADVANTAGE - Overload indicator reliably and simply indicates load on each axle of motor vehicle.
