<p>PURPOSE:To prevent a trouble from occurring to conveyance of recording sheets by a method wherein when a recording sheet is brought into resilient contact with a feed roller, resilient deformation of the feed roller is regulated in a given allowable range through a regulating member with which the recording sheet is brought into contact from below. CONSTITUTION:A regulating member 8 is secured to a mounting shaft 10 in a manner to protrude from a side wall 9 of a duplicator in the direction of the end surface of a feed roller 2, and the under surface of the regulating member is mirror-finished so that a slip between a recording surface 11 and the under surface is improved. A first coil spring 3C of a sheet press means 3 exerts spring strength, by means of which the roller 2 is resiliently deformed by approximate 1.5mm when a bottom plate 3a is raised during containing of the maximum number of recording sheets in a sheet containing case 1. In this way, in a sheet feeding device P, both when the maximum number of containing recording sheets is contained in a case 1 and when the number of remaining recording sheets in the case 1 is decreased to a slight value, the same magnitude of a push up force, i.e., a force by means of which the roller 2 is always resiliently deformed by approximate 1.5mm, is exerted on the roller 2 through regulation of two regulating members 8 and 8. Thus, sheets 11 are conveyed by means of a conveyance force the strength of which is always identical.</p> |
