A colouring process for the edge (1a) of soles of shoes (1), of the type in which the edge (1a) of the sole (1) that it is desired to colour is brought into contact with the peripheral surface of an inking roller (30), consisting in making the sole (1) rotate around a first axis (8) that passes through its approximate center of gravity, characterized in that this axis itself executes a rotational movement with reference to a second axis (12a, 22a) parallel to the first, the respective positions of these axes (8, 12a, 22a) being so determined that the edge of the sole describes a trajectory that is approximately tangential in relation to the inking roller (30), and in moving the inking roller (30) vertically during the movement of the sole (1) in such a way that contact is always maintained between the roller (30) and the edge (1a) of the sole.</p> |
