The window or door leaf comprises a frame (30) with glazing, fittings, and external vertical, horizontal and/or cruciform bars (34), which are removable from the front. The holder for each bar end comprises a spring (36) fixed to the frame and protruding in the direction of the plane of the glazing, with two lateral guide faces (48,50) at right angles to this plane, and an end face (52) extending away from the glazing. At the bar face bearing against the frame is a recess (60) open to one side in the direction of the glazing with two lateral guides and also a stop face determining the depth of the bar, for the spring. The bar snaps into its final position. ADVANTAGE - Easy and rapid installation with no need for special tools.
