<p>PURPOSE:To reduce the number of parts and to reduce a cost by a method wherein a gate disposed in a spot where three sheet conveyance passages are joined together and controlling the conveyance direction of a sheet is used in combination of the actuator of a sensor to detect the presence of sheets. CONSTITUTION:A sheet (a) passing through a picture forming passage A to the interior of a discharge passage C by means of a conveyance roll 12 has a tip (b) colliding with a lever 33 with which a gate 31 is formed. The force of the collision causes counterclockwise rotation of a lever 33 against energization of a spring 35. In which case, an ara 34 secured on a shaft 32 is stmultaneously rotated counterclockwisely. When the arm 34 is rotated in a given angle arc in a counterclockwise direction, the arm 34 presses a control lever 38 of a microswitch 37 to turn ON the contact of the microswitch 37. Through the use of the so formed gate 31, opening and closing of the lever 33 causes both opening and closing of the gate and operation of the microswitch 37, resulting in reduction of the number of parts.</p> |
