A rotary motion measurement device (1) housing (3) suspension contains a cross-linkage (10) via which a measurement shaft (7) and its bearing are pivotably attached to a fixed part (4) of the measurement device's housing. The measurement shaft is movable in two mutually perpendicular directions radially w.r.t. the fixed housing part and transversely w.r.t. the shaft length. The measurement shaft and device can be moved radially from the centre in opposite directions. USE/ADVANTAGE - E.g. for housings mounted on machine housings and enclosing shafts whose rotations are to be measured. Eliminates angular errors caused by flexural elastic cross-coupling.
