The machine for printing labels has a stencil (13) for printing three labels mounted on a rotary holder (12). As the latter rotates, it carries the stencil under the inking rollers (14). After a further rotation the stencil is pressed against an inching paper web (15). When the stencil has been lifted clear of the paper web, the latter is moved forwards by a distance equal to the combined width of the labels. The holder rotates continuously. An attachment to the stencil holder is used to print a serial number on each label. ADVANTAGE - Numbering facility without extra flat printer.
